Confusion

I went to Puppy Camp for a few days this week because my mom went to a conference. I like Puppy Camp because I get to flirt with all the pretty girls who work there, and do zoomies around the yard with other pups.

Anyway, Mom went to a conference at this place, Auburn University:

She is not from Alabama but she understands that one of the most important rivalries in the state is the one between the University of Alabama and Auburn University. Auburn's mascot is the tiger:

But it is also the War Eagle:

This two mascot thing is a bit confusing, don't you think? (The University of Alabama's mascot is Big Al the elephant, but they are also called the Crimson Tide. For a long time Mom thought that this might be a reference to red tide but was confused why that would be associated with a school that's not on the coast... Someone straightened her out on where the name came from, though.)

Anyway, this guy, Mark Bellhorn, who played for the 2004 World Champion Boston Red Sox, went to Auburn, so Mom figured that there would be a statue of him somewhere on the campus. Alas, there was not.

Can you believe that?

Auburn looks like a pretty campus. One of motch's friend's sons (got that?!) goes to school there.

I can't believe there wasn't a statue; that just isn't right.

How was puppy camp? Lots of fun?

Yes, I can believe that, Beckett. A college campus, a baseball player, maybe they are seeking someone with an academic background for statues. After all there is the Baseball Hall of Fame at Cooperstown, NY!

Kisses,
Stella
