Pawsitive thoughts needed

Note from Mom:

A little while ago we found out that my brother got into a bad bicycle accident in Maine. He has a concussion, a broken clavicle, and a broken scapula. Wikipedia says, "Because of its sturdy structure and protected location, scapular fractures are uncommon; when they do occur, they are an indication that severe chest trauma has occurred."

My brother's friends were able to get in touch with my mom (who is currently on vacation in Oregon) and she was able to reach my dad (back in NJ). Dad is on his way to Maine to be with my brother. My brother's being transferred to a hospital with a trauma center.

It's a fairly hopeless feeling to be so far away from family at a time like this. Alex should be okay, although he's going to be in a world of hurt for a while, but I know we'd really appreciate positive (or pawsitive) thoughts.

Alex about 100 yards from the finish

Your uncle looks like an athlete! He's seems so strong - we're just certain he'll pull through and be up and running again just like in that picture.

Our paws are crossed and we're sending good thoughts your way!

Oh, I'm so sorry to hear about your uncle Alex. Bicycle accidents can sure be serious ones. I'm praying that he will get better soon.
