an AWARD for STEALING

OMDOG, I am so excited. That cutie pie, Lorenza, gave me the Oops! I Ate It AWARD!

Here are the Rules...
When accepting this award, you must blog about the food you have stolen when your humans were not watching...If you have never stolen any food, you must be a really good pup!! You can accept this yummy tray of cookies as your reward! Next add the logo of this award to your Blog (optional), then nominate at least 5 other furry blogs and let them know by leaving a message on their Blogs...

Well, I know this will be SHOCKING to some of you, but... I love to steal food when my mom's not looking. And you know what? I'm NOT sorry.

Here are some highlights of my food-stealing career:

SUSHI

One day Mom got a big craving for some avocado rolls, but there weren't any at the grocery store and she didn't feel like going out to eat, so she decided to make her own. So first she had to go buy all the stuff she needed - nori, wasabi, rice wine vinegar, avocados, etc. Just as she was leaving the store, the skies opened and she was soaked on her way back to the car.

When she got home she was just about to start the rice when the power went out! When it finally came back on an hour later, she started making dinner. She was starving by this time, and everything took a lot longer than she thought it would, but finally, everything was ready, so she turned around to get a plate from the cabinet and...

I leaped up and grabbed the avocado roll in my mouth and went charging off toward the living room leaving a trail of rice in my wake. OMDOG, you should have heard all the HBO WORDS my mom was using!

She had spaghetti for dinner.

NOODLES WITH PEANUT-GINGER SAUCE

Mom was home for lunch and eating some noodles. I stood by the back door like I wanted to go outside, and when she got up and headed that way to open the door for me, I dashed back toward the table and got a big bite of noodles before she knew what hit her. OMDOG, was I smart or what?!?

THE ENTIRE JAR OF PEANUT BUTTER

This one wasn't a success sadly. One morning, Mom (who is not a morning person) was eating her Cheerios when out of the corner of her eye she spotted me trying a new technique for stealing food. I'd realized that perhaps my mad dash from the scene of the crime was tipping her off, so I decided to go for a nonchalant prance instead. If she hadn't done a double take, she never would have realized that I had an entire jar of peanut butter in my mouth, I was THAT nonchalant.

I would love to hear how you other pups go about stealing food, so consider yourself tagged!

Man, you gotta come over and teach me some tricks about counter surfin' and food snatchin'. My mom's world class—her career best is scarfing down a whole loaf of challah bread.

Me? I'm fairly picky. If the kibble isn't topped with fresh raw meat I'm not diggin' it at all.

Call me spoiled...I have standards!

Hey, what's up with the Sox? And your namesake? He got a career "best" for the most HR's against in a game. This is getting dreadful.

OMDOG!!! Beckett! I am SO impressed... I have NOTHING like that on my resume, unhappily. But one time I stole the other baby carrott out of my girl's hand that she was going to give Fig. *sigh* My life is pathetic.

Solid work Beckett! We steal with frequency, and nearly anything will do...

Hi Beckett: I found this letter from you in Ali Z's file:

Hi Ali Z,

You know, Stella often leaves comments on my blog that portray her as a bit of a goody four paws. Is she really as angelic and well-behaved as she likes to think she is?

I am sure Ali Z will answer this next Tuesday, but I feel badly that you feel this way about me. I really am a good dog, I don't tear things up, sometimes I find a little plastic dish and I might chew that because plastic is one of my favorite food groups, but I don't find those often. I am not food-driven, so I am satisfied with my two meals a day. I don't like for peoples or dogs to play with my toys and so I don't bother their things. I can't even imagine tearing up furniture, or bedding or someones knitting. What is the point of that?

I will apologize for my earlier comment on this page. I should just have not written anything than something that sounds so judgemental. We have been friends for a long time, Beckett. Lets just keep it that way and I won't comment about your fun again.

Kisses,
Stella
